When I started my handloom journey through Live From Loom, my only vision was to make India’s stunning handloom accessible to women. I travelled to artisan clusters across India, met amazing artisans, and hosted live shows – where women could buy handloom directly from the artisans.

Along the way, I noticed that there are always a few designs that feel truly special and stand out in their own way. Since we only had 1 or 2 sarees, we always ran out of those designs and were never able to send them to all the amazing women who wanted them.

So, I thought of trying something new. Instead of selling from existing artisan inventory, why not turn the process around? Ask you if you want to buy our most loved designs, and I will partner with artisans to bring them back—where we take pre-orders and weave the piece especially for you.

The only caveat: we need at least 15 pre-orders to go into production, since that is the minimum number of sarees that need to be woven once the loom is set up with a particular design. If a design receives at least 15 pre-orders within 2 days, it goes into production. If not, your money is fully refunded within one week!
