About me

Simeen

Hi, I am Simeen

For years, I have quietly collected handloom sarees, not from showrooms, but directly from the hands that wove them. I have walked through weaving lanes in Banaras, Maheshwar, Chanderi, Bhuj, and many more places, meeting artisans, listening to their stories, and finding pieces that felt honest, beautiful, and full of life.

But buying like this hasn’t been easy.

There is no clear way to tell what’s truly handmade. Prices swing wildly. And most of the time, you never see, or even hear about, the person who actually made what you’re wearing.

I often felt that something was missing, not just transparency, but connection.

What started as a personal search for meaningful pieces slowly turned into something more. I began sourcing sarees for friends, then friends of friends — people who wanted the same experience: authentic products, fairly priced, and rooted in craft.

That’s how Live From Loom began.

It’s a simple format: a weekly live sale, streamed directly from the homes and workshops of artisans across India. You get to see the pieces in real time, meet the makers, ask questions — and if something speaks to you, you can make it yours.

We’re starting with sarees, but will soon expand into rugs, home décor, and other handmade textiles — each one made by hand, carefully sourced and fairly priced.

We work directly with artisans, agree on transparent pricing, and do our best to tell their stories as truthfully as we can. We take a small margin to keep things going — but the goal is to make the process fair for both sides: for the hands that weave, and the hearts that choose to wear or use what they make.

If you’ve ever longed to know what you’re buying, not just the product, but the process and the person behind it — this space is for you.

Whether you shop, follow, or just quietly witness, you’re part of this journey.

Thank you for being here.

Never miss a live handloom experience.
